Tragedy Strikes: Two Teens Injured by Electric Shock in Odesa

In Odesa, a tragic incident involving two teenagers occurred, resulting in one fatality and serious injuries to the other. Emergency services were on site to assist the victim.

According to police reports, the incident took place on the evening of March 9 near a railway station on Baltska Road, as alerted by a passerby. It was preliminarily established that the boys climbed onto a stationary train, where they were struck by electricity. A 16-year-old boy suffered injuries that were not survivable, while the 13-year-old was rescued from the roof and handed over to medical personnel.

"Rescue workers used a tripod ladder and rope to retrieve the victim, who was in critical condition and was promptly hospitalized. The circumstances of the event are still under investigation," officials from the State Emergency Service reported.
