Repair Works in Odessa: Update on Sofiivska Street

Repair works at the building on Sofiivska Street are ongoing. The reinforcement of the walls and roofing in the most damaged area has been completed. However, a section of the roof still requires attention. 
 
Today, October 31, 2024, Odessa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov discussed critical recovery issues with the residents. Among the top priorities: installing a ceiling between the new roof and the apartments, restoring windows and heating systems, and repairing staircases in one of the entrances. 
 
The Mayor emphasized that collaboration with charitable organizations providing construction materials allows for a faster repair process. He expressed hope for continued cooperation, noting that budget procedures take time, especially since the building is an architectural heritage site. 

The Mayor thanked the "Morning of Revival" Charitable Foundation, the "Tenth of April" NGO, and UNHCR for their constant support and provision of construction materials. 
 
Emergency repair works at the building on Sofiivska Street are being carried out by "ZKS Porto-Franckivsk" with the support of the advisor to the Odessa Mayor on humanitarian issues, Veronika Etnarovich.
