Participants included: Deputy Mayor of Odesa Pavlo Vugelman, Chairman of the Odesa Regional Trade Union Federation Vyacheslav Buratynskyi, and Chairman of the Odesa Employers' Organization Yevhen Drozd, along with department heads of the city council.
The agenda covered key issues such as:
- the implementation of a project to build electrical stations to enhance the city's energy security;
- progress on the city target program providing non-repayable financial assistance to homeowners' associations;
- career guidance initiatives in community-owned educational institutions.
Economic stability is crucial for the city's development.
Valeriy Ivanov, director of the municipal enterprise «Heat Supply of Odesa», informed participants about measures taken to ensure energy security amid wartime. He noted that in 2023, a memorandum was signed between the Odesa City Council and the UN regarding the establishment of a distributed generation system.
The first two cogeneration units have been delivered, and installation work is ongoing.
«This project aims to enhance Odesa's resilience to energy challenges, especially during past blackouts», the speaker emphasized.
Maria Lisnichenko, Deputy Head of the Tariff Policy Department, provided insights into the financial support for homeowners' associations for energy efficiency measures.
In 2024, 11 homeowners' associations received over 3.7 million UAH in assistance. The program will continue into 2025.
Sustained economic conditions are essential for quality employment, particularly for youth. The Education Department presented information on career guidance activities for students.
The meeting concluded with discussions on plans for 2025.
