Revitalization of Apartment Building in Odesa: A New Beginning

In Odesa, at Sередня Street, 24, Corp. 4, the restoration of an apartment building that sustained severe damage from a massive Russian missile attack has commenced.

The building suffered significant damage to its external walls, partitions, and structural elements. To prevent collapse, emergency stabilization works were carried out, halting further deterioration.

«The building on Sередня is, without exaggeration, one of the most challenging projects. Thanks to our unity and timely funding for stabilization, we managed to avoid a greater tragedy», - noted Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov. 

Currently, after all necessary procedures and tender results, the company «Stikon» has initiated the restoration works. 

«After completing a series of recovery and liquidation works, we ordered a project from the Odesa State Academy of Construction and Architecture. The project has been examined, and restoration work has begun», - said Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Department of Municipal Economy of Odesa City Council. 

So far, specialists are working on restoring the building's external structures, internal walls, and partitions. Preparatory works for reinforcing the building and erecting new structures have also started. 

The work is expected to be completed by the end of June 2025. 

A budget of 42 million UAH has been allocated for the restoration of the damaged building, of which 7 million UAH is for eliminating the consequences of the attack, and 35 million UAH is for recovery.
