Restoration of Bridge Approaches in Mayaki

Currently, there are ongoing works to restore the approaches to the bridge near the checkpoint «Mayaki-Udobne-Palanka». This has been reported by the press service of the company «Avtomagistral-South».

The company noted that during the war, the M-15 Odesa-Reni road has become the main route for transporting agricultural products, leading to increased load on the road. Although the surface managed to withstand the pressure, significant loads have caused subsidence of the bridge approaches.

«The deformation of the approaches negatively affects traffic safety and poses a risk to the structural integrity of the bridge itself. Our goal is to restore the road surface and repair the damaged elements of the bridge structure», – said the company.

During the repair process, on one side of the roadway, they are replacing expansion joints, milling the old surface, laying new base layers of gravel-sand mixture (GSM) and cement, as well as two layers of asphalt.
