Revitalization of Residential Building in Odesa: A New Phase

The revitalization of a multi-apartment residential building at 24 Sередня St., Corp. 4 in Odesa continues after suffering significant damage from a massive missile attack.  

The building sustained considerable damage to its external structures, partitions, and other elements. Experts emphasize that timely stabilization works have been crucial in preventing the collapse of the structure. 
Recently, active restoration efforts have commenced. 

«Restoration work is taking place in a high-risk area due to 11 floors above the building lacking vertical support over an area of about 100 sq.m.», emphasized Artem Zakharov, Deputy Director of the Odesa City Council's Department of Municipal Economy. 

«Most of the demolition work has been completed. We have moved on to a more challenging phase - restoring the reinforced concrete framework. The first vertical column element has been constructed. Preparatory work has begun for pouring the second floor slab, and the strength disc will secure this structure», stated Anatoliy Rahulin, Director of LLC «Stikon». 

Builders indicate that the work is labor-intensive and complex, with no analogs in Ukraine. To preserve all parts of the structure, work must be conducted in sections and specific areas. This approach takes more time but is more effective for maintaining the multi-story building. 

The completion of the work is planned for June 2025.
