Free Train Travel Initiative by Ukrzaliznytsia Launching Soon

The new initiative «Free Train Travel by Ukrzaliznytsia» will commence in December. During a press conference, CEO Oleksandr Pertsovskyi shared the details.
Under this plan, Ukrainians will have the opportunity to travel for free up to 3,000 km for four months during the low season, when there is less demand for train services.
According to Ukrzaliznytsia, there could be up to 250,000 available seats in long-distance trains during this period, which will be offered as part of the social program.
The focus will primarily be on passengers from frontline areas. It is important to note that no additional budget funding is allocated for this initiative. The implementation mechanism is still being developed.
