Unusual Rescue Operations in Odesa
Yesterday in Odesa, emergency service workers had an eventful day responding to two unusual calls. Throughout the day, they rescued a dog that had fallen into a pit and later assisted a cat stuck in a tree. Fortunately, both animals emerged unharmed. This was reported on Saturday, October 18, by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Odesa region.
The first incident occurred during the day on the 19th kilometer of the Starokyivska road. A dog fell into a deep pit and couldn't get out on its own. Rescuers, using a rope and a ladder, descended and carefully lifted the animal to the surface. Luckily, the dog was uninjured and quickly recovered from the stress.
The second call came in the evening from Leontovycha Street. Local residents reported that a cat had been sitting high up in a tree for several hours, meowing and unable to climb down. Rescuers reached the animal using a ladder and safely returned it to its owners.
