Preparing Urban Greenery for Winter in Odesa

Employees of the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest» have started preparations to ready the city's greenery for winter.

This autumn, according to the approved plan, 1064 young trees will be planted in Odesa, specifically chosen for better adaptation to urban conditions. In particular, it is planned to plant 330 saplings of various deciduous species in places where stumps have been removed.

The planting process is expected to begin around early November.

Additionally, the horticulturists have already started preparing the greenhouses at the «Troyanda» site for winter. The greenhouses operate year-round, and currently, they are laying out seeds and gathering firewood for heating.

Starting in early November, the enterprise will also begin the winterization of the automatic irrigation systems. There are about 50 such systems under the management of «Miskzelentrest», located in various parks and squares throughout the city.
