Ambassadors of Accessibility Meet

Odesa participated in the national meeting of accessibility ambassadors held in Kyiv. This was the first event of its kind, gathering ambassadors working on accessibility issues.

The event was opened by Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration Oleksii Kuleba, UNICEF representative in Ukraine Munir Mamedzade, and the President's Advisor on Accessibility Tatiana Lomakina.

Valentyna Khoruzha, head of the Youth Council under the Odesa Mayor's office, represented Odesa at this meeting. She shared successful experiences in creating accessible spaces in the city and established cooperation with ambassadors from other regions.

«I am proud to be part of the «Movement Without Barriers» project team, working to improve conditions for everyone,» noted Valentyna Khoruzha.

The «Movement Without Barriers» is a flagship project of the Ministry of Community Development within Olena Zelenska's initiative, involving 15 pilot communities where accessible routes to key social facilities are being created, ensuring unhindered movement for all persons with limited mobility.
