Odesa's Home Restoration: New Opportunities for Residents

The Mayor of Odesa, Gennady Trukhanov, inspected the restoration efforts at the building located at 134 Prince Vladimir the Great Street, the site of a tragic event in 2024.
Last year, emergency and stabilization works were carried out, allowing the preservation of the integrity of the apartments in the right section of the building and renovations of the common areas. The internal heating system has been fully modernized, enabling residents of the surviving apartments to return home. Residents of the destroyed apartments received housing certificates and utilized the eRestoration program.

Based on engineering surveys, a reconstruction project was developed. Protruding remnants of the left section of the building were dismantled, and the outer wall will be repaired according to current construction norms. In addition to installing monolithic buttresses, the foundation will be reinforced with a monolithic slab, ensuring the building's reliability even under challenging conditions.

“We have preserved intact rooms from the destroyed apartments, which we will combine and use as temporary housing. We plan to complete their renovation with the support of charitable foundations,” said Mayor Gennady Trukhanov.

According to the Mayor's advisor on NGO coordination, Veronika Etnarovych, external and internal doors have already been purchased. Charitable organizations have also provided builders with foam blocks for internal renovation work.
