New 20 Hryvnias Banknotes: A Patriotic Touch

As of August 21, the National Bank of Ukraine will issue new 20 hryvnias banknotes. The reverse side will feature the patriotic slogan "Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!"

This was reported by the NBU press service.

It is noted that all other design and security features will be consistent with the 2018 series of 20 hryvnias banknotes, samples of which are available on the official website of the National Bank.

The modified 20 hryvnias banknotes will be provided to banks and financial institutions by the NBU for further issuance to clients, as well as for replacing worn, damaged, and withdrawn notes from circulation.

Citizens will not need to exchange the previous version of 20 hryvnias banknotes for the new ones, according to the National Bank.

"As a legal means of payment, they will circulate alongside other banknotes of the same denomination from previous years and must be accepted by all individuals and legal entities at their nominal value without restrictions throughout Ukraine for all types of payments and account deposits," the statement reads.
