Closure of the Palanca - Mayaki - Udobno Checkpoint

The Palanca - Mayaki - Udobno checkpoint has been temporarily closed due to ongoing investigative measures.
This was reported by the Border Police of Moldova.
It was noted that during a luggage check of a Moldovan citizen traveling on a bus regularly operating on the Chisinau - Odessa route, an item posing a «certain threat to security» was discovered. Specialized teams are currently working at the scene. Travelers who planned to cross through this checkpoint are advised to allow extra time for crossing and to use an alternative route via the Tudora checkpoint. Further information will be provided after the measures are completed.
