Ban on Catching River Crayfish in Odesa Region

From August 15 to September 30, a ban on catching river crayfish will be in effect in the Odesa region due to their second molting. This measure has been introduced to preserve the population of these aquatic creatures.
This has been reported by the press service of the Odesa Fisheries Protection Patrol.
During the ban, fishermen who illegally catch crayfish may face administrative or criminal charges and be required to compensate damages — 3,332 hryvnias for each illegally caught crayfish.
