Fire Near Kovalivka: Emergency Services Respond

On August 3rd, a fire broke out in the open area near the village of Kovalivka in the Odesa region, where brush and dry vegetation were ablaze. The strong winds complicated the situation by rapidly spreading the flames.
This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service in Odesa region.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire over an area of 16 hectares. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage are currently under investigation.
A total of 7 units of equipment and 33 firefighters were involved from the Emergency Service, along with 1 unit and 3 personnel from the Volunteer Firefighters Association of Ukraine, 1 unit and 4 personnel from the National Guard of Ukraine, and 1 unit and 3 local residents.
