Sea Rescue Missions in Odesa Region
30 July 2025
In the Odesa region, rescuers carried out operations after six people were swept away by the sea. Meanwhile, in Chornomorsk, the search continues for a 16-year-old boy who went missing while swimming.
Recall that on July 28, rescuers in Chornomorsk pulled 10 children from the water who were swimming during a storm. Searching for another teenager was impossible due to high waves.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region, rescuers have already surveyed 16,500 m² of the seabed at the beach in Chornomorsk, including 6,000 m² with the help of a drone, along with 8 km of coastline.
In Odesa, two similar incidents occurred:
- At the “Golden Coast” beach, three teenagers on a float were swept out to sea, but they were rescued.
- At the “Vidrada” beach, three men were also swept away into the sea and were successfully rescued.
