Threat Assessment of Information Security in Ukraine
Experts from the Center for Counteracting Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine warn of possible escalation of Russian information campaigns in the coming two weeks.
According to their findings, false claims about alleged mass demands from Ukrainians for capitulation and regime change are expected.
Additionally, an increase in information attacks on residents of frontline regions is anticipated.
Specifically, they may receive false news regarding the evacuation of military administration personnel and other disinformation materials aimed at intimidating the populace.
It is also predicted that Russian media will continue manipulations, attempting to discredit Ukraine during negotiations and undermine trust in Ukrainian military forces.
In particular, fake information is circulating online, suggesting that soldiers released from Russian captivity are facing criminal charges for desertion.
