Investments in Ukrainian Robotics: A New Development Stage
The Ukrainian-American investment firm MITS Capital has invested $3.74 million in Tencore, a leader in the robotics sector in Ukraine. Known for its multifunctional robotic complex TerMIT, Tencore continues to grow.
This agreement was announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025) in Rome. The investment was structured through the legal regime "Diia.City" directly into the Ukrainian company Tencore.
MITS Capital's CEO Perry Boyle emphasized that this is the first contract between an American investor and a Ukrainian company in the defense technology sector through the "Diia.City" platform.
MITS Capital also noted that the deal establishes legal pathways for international investors to make direct investments in Ukrainian companies without the need for workarounds.
Since early 2025, the legal regime "Diia.City" has actively expanded into the DefenseTech sector, attracting over 300 defense resident companies.
Representatives of MITS Capital explained that Article 29 of the Law of Ukraine on "Stimulating the Development of the Digital Economy in Ukraine" allows for the creation of investment agreements with alternatives for fulfilling obligations. Additional protection is provided through agreements regarding applicable law with various countries for arbitration or court proceedings.
This mechanism makes investments in Ukrainian companies as reliable as those in traditional venture structures like C-Corp in Delaware or E-Residency companies in Estonia, emphasized CIO MITS Capital Denis Hurak.
MITS Capital, established in 2024, operates offices in Kyiv and New York, focusing its investments on defense technological innovations in Ukraine. As of July 2025, their portfolio includes 11 companies.
Tencore is a Ukrainian developer of robotic platforms with a team of over 200 specialists. The TerMIT system features a modular architecture that adapts to various tasks, including logistics and evacuation missions.
Notably, in June it became known that the Ukrainian communication systems manufacturer Himera Radios and Tencore would collaborate to create stable and secure communication for ground robotic systems.
