Trial of Russian Agent Network Participants in Odessa

In Odessa, a trial has commenced for three women involved in a Russian special services agent network. They were engaged in targeting military and medical objectives, having relayed information regarding at least 10 such locations. Two of them are in custody, while the third is already serving an 8-year sentence.

This information was provided by the Odessa regional prosecutor's office.

Law enforcement officials reported that the accused, under the guidance of a Russian special services officer, collected information about the deployment of military units and key infrastructure objects in Odessa.

"The organizer of the agent network turned out to be a 23-year-old local resident. Under the curator's instructions, she involved two of her friends in the criminal activities, who also supported the aggressor's actions. They personally wrote and sent applications to the curator for employment in one of the Russian special services.

For several months, the trio gathered and transmitted via messenger text messages, photos, videos, and Google Maps screenshots of the deployment of military units, recruitment centers, hospitals, and air defense sites. The network participants managed to inform the occupiers about at least 10 targets," the statement said.

For their efforts, the women received 500 US dollars and hoped to secure leadership positions in the trade management upon occupation.

The accused were apprehended in June 2024 while gathering information about the location of a military unit. Currently, two women are in custody, and the third is already serving her sentence. Considering her cooperation with the investigation and other circumstances, the court assigned her a lighter sentence than prescribed by law.
