Storm Causes Train Schedule Disruptions
Severe weather conditions in Transcarpathia, as well as in Slovakia and Hungary, have led to significant changes in the schedule of international and domestic passenger trains. Some services are delayed, and passengers arriving from abroad are being transported to Ukraine by replacement buses.
This was reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.
The company indicated that due to the bad weather, the railway companies in Hungary and Slovakia have had to delay the following services:
- №143/750 from Vienna and Budapest;
- №617/964 from Bratislava.
Passengers from Debrecen (Hungary) and Košice (Slovakia) will be taken to the border by replacement buses. They will then be picked up by train No. 28 of Ukrzaliznytsia in Chop. The delay time and further departure will be determined after the buses arrive and in coordination with dispatchers from all three countries. The company warns that further changes may occur depending on the situation, particularly in Hungary.
Additionally, the bad weather has damaged the overhead line near Barkasovo and Skole, leading to delays for the following trains:
- №9 Kyiv – Budapest;
- №82 Chop – Kyiv;
- №14 Solotvyno – Kyiv;
- №38 Mukachevo – Odessa;
- №749 Kyiv – Chop (with direct cars to Vienna).
"We traditionally gather all schedule deviations on our portal uz-vezemo. We apologize for any inconvenience and assure you that we will transport everyone safely," emphasized the company’s press service.
