Stabbing Incident in Odesa

A man stabbed an acquaintance in the abdomen and chest in Odesa. He could face up to eight years in prison for his actions.

The incident occurred last week in the evening on 7th Peresyp Street, where the men met by chance. A drunken 42-year-old local man confronted his 27-year-old acquaintance, accusing him of not returning money for a power bank he purchased. During the ensuing altercation, the older man stabbed the younger one in the abdomen and chest, then fled the scene.

Passersby called an ambulance for the victim. Medical staff hospitalized him and notified the police about the incident. The victim is currently in the hospital, suffering from stab wounds to the abdominal wall and chest, penetrating into the pleural cavity.

The victim was in critical condition and unable to identify his attacker. However, the police quickly located the perpetrator, using a service dog that picked up the scent and led them to the suspect.
