Fire Erupts in Odesa Region: Two Injured

A fire broke out in the Odesa region affecting a residential area. During an attempt to extinguish the flames, two people sustained injuries and were hospitalized.

The incident occurred yesterday, July 5, in the Izmail district. On Shkilna Street in the village of Stari Troiani, the roof of a house and an outbuilding caught fire. Firefighters quickly managed to put out the fire, which covered an area of 60 square meters.

"Unfortunately, during the attempt to extinguish the fire independently, a man born in 1959 and a woman born in 1954 suffered burns of moderate severity and were hospitalized. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are still being determined. One unit of equipment and three firefighters from the emergency services were involved, along with one unit from the local fire brigade and two personnel," the press service reported.
