01 July 2025

The streaming service Netflix has partnered with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to offer viewers an exciting opportunity to watch rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, and breathtaking views from the International Space Station.

According to NASA's press release, the NASA+ programs will be available on Netflix, which boasts over 700 million subscribers globally.

"Viewers will have the chance to witness spectacular rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, and captivating reports from space missions, as well as stunning views of Earth from the International Space Station," stated the U.S. space agency.

"The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 encourages us to share the story of space exploration with a broader audience," said Rebecca Simons, the general manager of NASA+.

NASA hopes this initiative will help "spread the excitement of discoveries, inventions, and space research to people wherever they are."
