Enhanced Accessibility in My Kyivstar App for Visually Impaired Users
Kyivstar has revamped its My Kyivstar mobile app to enhance support for users with visual impairments. The app is now fully compatible with screen reader technologies, including TalkBack for Android and VoiceOver for iOS.
To create a genuinely inclusive interface, the Kyivstar team conducted extensive adaptations: they configured the correct voice-over for elements, added text descriptions for graphics, and implemented voice prompts for input fields, checkboxes, and buttons to provide important details for a comprehensive interface experience.
The quality of this adaptation has been validated by an independent assessment from Access Lab, a company specializing in digital accessibility. Their experts provided recommendations that have already been partially implemented in the updated version of the app.
This update reflects the company's conscious approach towards digital inclusivity, aligning with the European Accessibility Act.
As a result, visually impaired users can now independently manage their telecom services: recharge their accounts, check balances, and subscribe to Home Internet, Super Powers, and other services.
