Negotiations on Prisoner Exchange

The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, reported that discussions took place in Istanbul regarding a prisoner exchange involving “1000 for 1000”.
Additionally, the meeting between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian leader Vladimir Putin was discussed.
Umerov Shared Insights on Talks with Russia
“We talked about the exchange of 1000 for 1000”, he stated.
When asked about the next steps in the negotiation process, Umerov said that “first, we need to address the exchange of prisoners”.
“Then we will inform you about our next steps”, Umerov concluded.
The minister also noted that Ukraine and Russia's delegations discussed the possibility of a ceasefire.
