Government's Stance on Mobilization Reservations

16 May 2025

The Ukrainian government does not intend to make significant changes to the mobilization reservation criteria in the near future.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the "hour of questions to the government" in the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by "Interfax-Ukraine".

"Regarding reservations, we do not foresee any substantial changes in the criteria and procedures in the near term. They are clearly defined, digitized, and are extremely transparent, clear, and understandable", - he said.

The Prime Minister mentioned that the government, in cooperation with the military, is closely monitoring the reservation process: who is being reserved and in which sectors.

"These criteria satisfy both the military and the economy. We do not plan any major revisions in the near term", - emphasized Shmyhal.

Reminder:

Starting April 1 only companies that have updated their critical status according to the new requirements will be able to continue reserving their specialists. Reservations made under the old rules will no longer be valid.

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved changes to the process of reserving military-eligible workers for mobile operators and internet providers.

Additionally, according to the government's decision, the reservation quota for enterprises providing water supply, wastewater management, waste management, and servicing critical infrastructure has been increased from 50% to 75%.
