Restoration Efforts for Damaged Odessa Building
Odessa's Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov addressed the situation concerning the damaged building: "We will do everything possible to ensure residents return home swiftly."
During an on-site meeting, the mayor spoke with residents of the building on Yaroslav Mudryi Avenue, which was hit by an enemy drone on the night of May 1.
Based on expert assessments, the structure has been deemed hazardous, prompting temporary relocation for necessary emergency work. Residents have been offered compensation for housing through a city program.
"An extraordinary session of the Odessa City Council is scheduled for May 13, where officials will decide on funding for stabilization and restoration of the upper floors. Prior to that, the technical report will be reviewed by the regional TEB and NS commission. We will do everything possible to ensure families return to their homes as soon as possible," the mayor emphasized.
