Innovative Cargo Management System Launched at Odesa Port
In Odesa port, with the involvement of specialists from the State Enterprise “AMPU” and the Odesa branch, the implementation of a new module for controlling cargo truck movement called DocPort has commenced. This system allows advance processing of permits for drivers and sending them in a convenient format — directly to a messenger. All that is needed is any device (phone, tablet, laptop) with internet access.
The main goal of DocPort is to reduce queues at the port entrance, minimize truck downtime, stabilize vehicle flow, and enhance cargo handling efficiency. The system enables the storage of data about cargo, fleet, preparation of entry documents, queue monitoring, and quick responses to emergency situations — for example, in case of vehicle breakdowns. Additionally, the use of DocPort minimizes the reliance on paper documents and reduces bureaucratic procedures during inspections.

DocPort allows us to minimize risks and improve service quality for all market participants. We are progressively scaling this solution in key seaports of Ukraine: after Reni, Izmail, and Chornomorsk, the logical next step is Odesa — one of the most important logistics centers in the country. We are confident that digital solutions should become the standard in the entire port system», noted the Head of SE “AMPU” Oleksandr Semyrha.
DocPort operates through a “controlled entry” mechanism: drivers wait at designated areas where they can activate their permits. As a result, only those vehicles that are ready to enter the territory receive an active permit. All information is stored in a unified database, so the driver and vehicle need to be registered only once — this information will be accessible at all ports connected to the system (subject to agreements).
The system was fully developed by specialists of SE “AMPU” and is free for all market participants, open for connection by other companies involved in cargo handling.
