Last year, approximately 300 bronchoscopic examinations were conducted in medical institutions in Odesa, allowing for the timely detection of 45 suspected cases of oncology, leading patients to further consultations and treatment.

Bronchoscopy is a crucial method for examining the trachea and bronchi using an endoscope, enabling early detection of respiratory cancers. It is recommended for individuals over 50 to undergo this examination routinely, even in the absence of symptoms.

This examination is part of the state medical guarantee program and is offered free of charge with a referral from a family or treating physician, particularly for patients receiving inpatient care.
