New Mental Health Center Opens in Kyiv District

11 October 2024

Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vugelman visited the newly established mental health support center in the Kyiv district. Family doctors provide consultations here, alongside a robust diagnostic and consultative center and a mobile palliative care service. This enables residents and visitors of Odessa to access a comprehensive range of outpatient services and psychological support.

Thanks to funding from the Odessa city budget and funds received through agreements with the National Health Service of Ukraine, family clinics and the day hospital of the primary healthcare center have been renovated, and the surgical block of the consultative and diagnostic center has been updated.

Today, as in other medical institutions in Odessa, an event is being held to promote mental health awareness, initiated by the city’s Department of Health.

“We are creating comfortable conditions for patients and medical staff in the key outpatient facility of the Kyiv district. A decision has already been made to allocate funds from the city budget for further renovations and modernization of the facility,” - reported Deputy Mayor Pavlo Vugelman.
