Cancer Awareness Week in Odesa

From February 2 to 6, 2026, medical facilities in Odesa will hold a Cancer Awareness Week.

This event is organized with the support of the Odesa City Council's Department of Health and the Odesa City Health Center in conjunction with World Cancer Day, observed annually on February 4.

During this week, everyone is invited to visit their family doctors for preventive check-ups and, if necessary, receive electronic referrals for cancer screenings: breast ultrasound or mammography for women, Pap tests for women, PSA tests for men, stool tests for hidden blood, and chest X-rays or fluorography.

To undergo free preventive check-ups, you need to consult your family doctor with whom you have a declaration. If you do not have a declaration, you can register with a family doctor at the medical facility you visit.

Timely diagnostics allow for the detection of precancerous conditions and malignant tumors at early stages, which can be successfully treated.
