Funding for the Prosthetics Center in Odesa
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with the support of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg, is allocating 2 million euros for the development of the Superhumans prosthetics center in Odesa. This was announced during a joint press conference in Odesa by Helen Bakker, the Director General for European Cooperation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On Supporting Medical Initiatives in Ukraine
Helen Bakker emphasized that the ongoing missile and drone attacks from Russia highlight the critical need for providing Ukraine with both military and humanitarian assistance. The Superhumans center is dedicated to restoring the health of military and civilian individuals injured in the conflict, and this financial support will significantly contribute to its operations.
The press conference also announced a new cooperation format called “Ukraine – Benelux,” to which the foreign ministers of the respective countries, including Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, have joined.
