Awareness Campaign for World Hepatitis Day in Odesa

Last week, Odesa hosted an important event supported by the Health Department, dedicated to World Hepatitis Day.
On this day, anyone interested could anonymously take a free test for hepatitis B and C. Regular screenings help detect the disease at an early stage, allowing treatment to begin before severe symptoms appear and preventing complications.
A total of 483 people participated in the voluntary anonymous testing, with 10 yielding positive results. Additionally, 20 individuals were referred for consultation with an infectious disease specialist.
Healthcare professionals remind that hepatitis B and C testing is included in the free primary healthcare package as part of state medical guarantees. Tests are available through family doctors.
