Advancements in Rehabilitation Services in Odesa

Representatives from healthcare institutions in Odesa participated in a regional forum titled «Rehabilitation Services within the Medical Guarantees Program», organized by the National Health Service of Ukraine for medical facility leaders from Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.

During the forum, findings from the planned monitoring of healthcare facilities regarding adherence to contract conditions for the «Rehabilitation Services for Adults and Children in Inpatient Settings» package were presented.

Participants discussed the outcomes of the monitoring and strategies to address key issues to enhance the capacities and improve the quality of inpatient rehabilitation services.

New tools within the electronic healthcare system related to the rehabilitation process were also introduced, aimed at making electronic document management more user-friendly.

In Odesa, under the state medical guarantees program, inpatient rehabilitation services for adults are provided by city hospitals №1, №8, №10, and №11. The children’s city clinical hospital №3 offers rehabilitation services for children. These medical institutions have been equipped with modern equipment funded by the city budget, enabling a wide range of rehabilitation procedures.

Renovation works are also underway to expand the rehabilitation capabilities of city clinical hospital №1 and to establish a robust rehabilitation center based at city hospital №5.
