Patient Data Verification in Healthcare System

29 June 2025

As of June 29, over 90% of patients in contracted primary medical care facilities have verified their data in the electronic healthcare system.

This was reported by the Minister of Health, Viktor Liashko, on Facebook.

He stated, "Changes in the healthcare system are only possible through open conversations with those who work with patients daily. I met with family doctors to discuss the challenges they face in their work and to find optimal solutions together. Open dialogue is the key to the resilience of the system, especially in wartime conditions. One of the main issues currently concerning the professional community is the verification of patient data in the electronic healthcare system".

"I understand that this creates additional pressure on doctors. However, it is about transparency. It is about ensuring that the system funds real patients, not statistics. This is a fundamental principle of the reform: money follows the patient. In the real conditions of limited resources, this principle becomes even more significant," emphasized Liashko.

He informed that, according to the National Health Service of Ukraine, as of June 29, over 90% of patients in contracted primary medical care facilities have been verified.

"This is a significant collaborative effort. To enhance it, the National Health Service of Ukraine has launched an updated analytical dashboard: each facility can see its own indicators, compare dynamics, and focus on best practices," noted Liashko.

He also mentioned discussing what to do in cases where patients do not pass verification, adding that clear solutions will be developed in the near future.

The Minister of Health urged all Ukrainians to assist in this process: "If you are receiving services, please confirm your data. This is about our shared responsibility for stability and fairness in the healthcare system".
