Community Health: Innovative Approaches in Medical Care
Health days and open house events have become a common practice for family clinics in Odessa.
The primary goal is to encourage residents to take care of their health, as regular medical examinations are the best way to detect and prevent diseases.
This was shared by Odessa's Mayor Genadiy Trukhanov during a visit to one of these events at the Primary Health Care Center No. 3.
The clinic serves over 13,000 people in a densely populated area.
Recently, a major renovation of the facility was completed, creating comfortable conditions for both patients and medical staff. Among other improvements, the entrance and restroom have been remodeled to meet modern accessibility standards for individuals with reduced mobility.
To ensure operational autonomy, the clinic is equipped with a generator and has a 1000-liter water storage tank.
In addition to standard services, Primary Health Care Center No. 3 offers mobile palliative care, mental health support services, and tuberculosis treatment. Additionally, substitution therapy for individuals with addiction is organized here.
To access free services under the state medical guarantee program, patients must sign a declaration with their family doctor.
