New Health Center for Mariupol Residents Opens in Odesa
A new medical facility «Mariupol. Health» has opened on Simi Glodan Street in Odesa, bringing together five medical institutions relocated from Mariupol:
- Polyclinic of City Hospital No. 9;
- Ambulatory No. 9 of Primary Medical and Sanitary Care Center No. 2;
- Rehabilitation Department of City Hospital No. 8;
- Women’s Consultation of the City Maternity Hospital;
- Dentistry Office.
This center is the fifth medical hub relocated to other Ukrainian cities where many Mariupol residents live. As noted by Mariupol Mayor Vadim Boychenko, this center is the largest among those previously opened and the last in this series of projects. Medical assistance will be available to everyone in need.
Vadim Boychenko expressed gratitude to the Odesa community, Mayor Gennadiy Trukhanov, Executive Director of the Association of Cities of Ukraine Oleksandr Slobozhan, and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation for their continuous support in establishing this center.
«Today marks 11 years since Odesa residents elected me as mayor. During this time, we have renovated numerous city hospitals, polyclinics, and ambulatory facilities. We work daily to improve the quality of medical services. Today, Odesa has gained another opportunity to access quality medical care in modern conditions. This also creates additional job opportunities,» stated Gennadiy Trukhanov.
At the event, words of gratitude were expressed to the defenders of Mariupol. Among those present were Heroes returned from captivity, who will have the chance to undergo treatment and rehabilitation in the new medical center, designed with all necessary conditions for their recovery.
