Rehabilitation and Healthy Lifestyle Conference in Odesa

Last week, a significant scientific and practical conference titled “Rehabilitation. Healthy Lifestyle. 2025” took place in Odesa. The event was organized by the Rehabilitation Management Association in collaboration with Odesa National Medical University.

During the conference, participants discussed the current state and future prospects of the rehabilitation service in Odesa and Southern Ukraine. A notable interest was sparked by Odesa's initiatives to provide veterans with opportunities to engage in adaptive sports, including participation in international competitions. The effectiveness of this method in medical-psychological rehabilitation and the reintegration of Ukraine's defenders into society was highlighted.

Additionally, issues regarding the implementation of a patient-centered approach in rehabilitation services were discussed, particularly using the example of City Clinical Hospital No. 10. Experts from City Hospital No. 8 shared their experience in integrating rehabilitation infrastructure into the natural environment and utilizing training grounds that replicate natural and urban settings.

Odesa is noted to have strong medical and recreational potential for developing a comprehensive rehabilitation system in Southern Ukraine.
