New Opportunities for Military Personnel: Online Marriages

In Ukraine, defenders now have a new way to marry faster thanks to the updated features of the "Diia" app.

The portal's press service announced that "due to high demand for online marriages, priority registration has been introduced for military personnel".

For those serving in the Armed Forces wishing to marry online, you need to:

open the Army+ app;

go to the Services section;

select Online Marriage.

The system will direct you to "Diia", where you can see available dates considering your priority, and ensure a separate registration for online marriage. Fill out the application, choose whether to change your surname after marriage, indicate where to deliver the marriage certificate, and confirm everything with Diia.Signature.

On the day of the marriage registration, click the link in "Diia" for the online ceremony, where a representative from the Digital Civil Registry will await you. The marriage process lasts up to 30 minutes. All you need is a smartphone and internet access.

It is noted that already more than 4,000 couples have officially married online, about 19,000 applications have been submitted, and over 2 million proposals were made through "Diia".
