Razer Unveils Project AVA: The Future of Digital Companions

07 January 2026

At CES 2026, Razer officially unveiled an updated version of their digital assistant, Project AVA, which was initially introduced as an AI coach for esports. Now, it is positioned as a fully-fledged companion for work, gaming, and everyday tasks.

Project AVA features a 5-inch animated holographic avatar with natural facial expressions, gaze tracking, and lip synchronization. Users can customize their avatars by selecting from Razer's iconic characters, esports stars, or different personality types ranging from bold to calm and friendly.

The device operates on adaptive artificial intelligence that remembers user preferences and interaction contexts for more tailored suggestions.

Project AVA is equipped with an HD camera and long-range microphone for seamless voice communication, while the PC Vision Mode allows the companion to “see” the PC screen and provide real-time advice, from gaming strategies to productivity tips.

Razer positions AVA not just as a gaming assistant but as an everyday digital companion for various aspects of modern life: from scheduling and wardrobe advice to brainstorming, data analysis, and creative problem-solving. The company emphasizes that AVA is set to be the “ultimate partner” in video games, covering everything from strategy games to professional-level competitions.

Razer has already opened pre-orders for Project AVA, with shipments expected in the second half of 2026.
