Ukrainian Innovations Showcased at CEATEC-2024 in Japan

The 25th anniversary exhibition of cutting-edge technologies, CEATEC-2024, was held in the Japanese city of Chiba. 

This year, for the second consecutive time, Ukrainian companies showcased their technological innovations at Asia's largest international exhibition. The Odessa City Council delegation presented Ukrainian IT developments at a unified booth. Tamila Afanasyeva, the director of the "Grant Office "Odessa 5T", introduced the innovations from the IT Family Odesa cluster and the Faculty of Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, and Computer Science of the International Humanitarian University.  

The Odessa delegation also participated in the 13th Asia Smart City Conference held in the sister city of Yokohama. The conference brought together global leaders in urban development and technological innovation. During their stay in Japan, the Odessa delegation held protocol meetings with the mayor of Yokohama, local government officials, and also met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Japan. 

Moreover, working negotiations were held with representatives of Yokohama's municipality, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Japanese office of the United Nations Development Programme. Together with several Japanese technology companies, including Nippon Koei, JFE Engineering, and Sansei, priority infrastructure projects for the city of Odessa were discussed. Additionally, talks took place with members of the Japanese National Commission for UNESCO, where the parties discussed the experience of Odessa and Japan in preserving and restoring cultural heritage sites. 

Representatives of Japanese society expressed solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their fight for freedom and their openness to collaboration with the Odessa community. Together, we bring victory closer!
