Empowering Children with Internet Safety Knowledge

In celebration of Safer Internet Day, a series of interactive lectures titled “Your Internet Safety” and “Cybersecurity Around Us” were conducted for students in Odessa. The aim of these lectures was to educate children on how to safely navigate the internet and identify fake information.

Led by Denis Popkov, a senior lecturer from the Department of Information Technology and Cybersecurity at Odessa National University of Technology, the sessions covered key topics such as: fundamental concepts of media literacy, safe smartphone usage, dangers of free Wi-Fi networks, and the enemy's operations through the information space and the internet (manipulations, IPSO).

This series of lectures is a significant step toward raising children's awareness of cybersecurity, helping them feel more confident in the online space.
