New Restrictions on Google AI Tools

28 November 2025

Google has announced new restrictions for users who utilize its AI tools for free. According to 9to5Google,
the number of available image generations in the Nano Banana Pro model has been cut from three to two per day. The company attributed this change to the high demand for the feature, noting that limits may vary and be updated daily.
Changes have also affected Gemini 3 Pro. Following its launch on November 18, users without a subscription were guaranteed 5 free requests per day, in line with the previous version Gemini 2.5 Pro. Now, free access is considered basic, and the number of daily requests may fluctuate based on load.
For those using the paid Google AI Pro and AI Ultra plans, the conditions remain unchanged — offering 100 and 500 requests per day, respectively.
Similar restrictions have been implemented by other companies, such as OpenAI, which delayed the launch of the image generator in ChatGPT for free users due to overwhelming popularity, but eventually made it available again.
