Wiz Expands Operations in Ukraine

12 November 2025

The Israeli startup Wiz, focused on cloud security, is expanding its reach into Ukraine. According to Forbes Ukraine, Softico has become the official representative of Wiz in the country, offering services in information security and IT distribution.
Wiz stands out as a leader in the field of Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms, enabling businesses to manage cloud security without the need for large DevSecOps teams.
Unlike traditional systems, Wiz operates without agents and complex integrations, providing clients with visibility into risks and relationships between users and assets. The platform supports major cloud services like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes, complying with international standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR, ensuring easy integration with CI/CD processes.
According to Andy Ritchie, head of WW Partners at Wiz, the company aims to assist businesses in securely adopting cloud technologies and artificial intelligence. "Cloud and AI open incredible potential for innovation. Wiz enables organizations to leverage these technologies without additional risks," he noted.
Softico, as the representative of Wiz, will handle localization, consulting, and client support for those transitioning to cloud security. Alexander Butusov, Head of the Information Security Department at Softico, stated that there is a demand for CNAPP solutions in Ukraine due to their scalability and ease of implementation.
Note: Wiz is one of the fastest-growing startups globally, driven by the increasing demand for its services amid businesses moving operations to the cloud. According to the company, nearly half of the 100 largest global firms, including BMW, Salesforce, Morgan Stanley, Shell, eBay, and AstraZeneca, utilize its services. Wiz's revenue reached $500 million in 2024, with a goal to double this figure in 2025.
Additionally, it is reported that since the onset of the full-scale war, Ukrainian businesses have actively transitioned to cloud services like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. According to the IT Ukraine Association, the cloud security market in Ukraine has tripled during this period and could grow by another 226% by 2029, reaching $3.78 million. The most active adopters of cloud solutions are companies in fintech, retail, and the public sector.
As a reminder, in March 2025, Google announced its largest acquisition by signing a deal to purchase Wiz for $32 billion. Following this, Wiz will become part of Google Cloud. Recently, this deal successfully passed review by the U.S. Department of Justice's antitrust division. Google stated that the approval process is ongoing in other countries. The deal is expected to close in 2026, pending standard closing conditions.
