The Military Accounting System 'Impulse' - New Opportunities for the Army
The digital accounting platform for military personnel, 'Impulse', will serve as a foundation for creating new services and developing various IT solutions within the military, helping to address diverse requests during service. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The defense agency stated that military personnel will have access to their military ID, be able to request electronic leaves, track their leave and service days, as well as manage the accounting of weapons, property, and payments.
Currently, the 'Impulse' system is being deployed in the Airborne Assault Forces and is optimizing the operations of human resources, 'drill', and commanders. The system's core functions include:
- For personnel service – automating routine tasks, quickly generating orders, reports, and references without manual data entry.
- For 'drill' – a unified military card that records all service events, ensuring consistency of information about the unit.
- For commanders – instant analytics on unit staffing and readiness available on demand.
The Ministry of Defense emphasized that the system operates in a closed secure environment. Access to information is regulated by roles and levels, and all user actions are recorded.
The system was developed by the Center for Technological Solution Scaling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where IT specialists with civilian experience in developing digital products serve. The deployment in the military is facilitated by units of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is worth noting that Ukraine's Minister of Defense, Denys Shmyhal, announced the implementation of the military accounting system 'Impulse' at the end of September. In June 2025, it became known that the 'Impulse' system was being tested in over 20 military units.
