Ukraine's New AI Infrastructure Initiative

Ukraine is set to establish a new state infrastructure for artificial intelligence through the AI Factory project. The Ministry of Digital Transformation is spearheading this initiative, which will provide the country with its first government platform for developing and deploying AI solutions. This ensures that citizen and state data remains within Ukraine, safeguarded by national data centers. As a result, AI products for Ukrainians, defense forces, and the public sector will become faster and more effective.

The AI Factory will host key governmental AI services created by the WINWIN AI Center of Excellence for the Ministry. Initially, this will include an AI assistant in the Diia app. Furthermore, it will be utilized for the AI tutor in the Myriya project, and eventually for initiatives in defense, healthcare, and scientific research.

AI Factory encompasses:

•  technical resources for operating AI services: computing clusters, servers, data storage
•  software for training models and preparing data
•  tools for data processing and service integration with registries
•  educational programs for specialists working with AI solutions

The launch of the AI Factory marks a significant step towards technological sovereignty and digital security in Ukraine. It represents the beginning of the development of an independent AI ecosystem, where solutions are created in Ukraine for Ukrainians.
