Launch of the New AI Assistant in Diia

19 May 2025

Mikhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation and Digital Transformation, announced the beta launch of an AI assistant on the Diia platform. The testing will begin this June. The AI system will assist users in quickly obtaining necessary services, finding the nearest CNAP, and in the future, it will support voice interaction.

«We have re-evaluated our approach with Diia. In 2019–2020, we created an intuitive application, but today AI technologies are changing user habits. Anything that doesn’t meet the standards of ChatGPT or Gemini requires new methods. To enhance user experience, we aim to transform Diia into an AI-driven product», — emphasized Mikhailo Fedorov.

During the DOU Day event, the Deputy Prime Minister shared that the AI assistant's beta testing will commence on the Diia platform in June. Users will not only be able to access services but also find answers to questions, such as whether a specific document is needed for traveling abroad.

It is also planned for the AI agent to send documents, and in the future, it will fully automate the service acquisition process. For instance, a user might describe a situation, and the AI will suggest what service to obtain. If, for example, you write: «A missile hit my house», the AI agent will understand that you need to apply for the eRecovery service, send a few photos, and then automatically submit a request to the relevant commission.

In the future, it will be possible to make voice requests and interact with Diia as users currently do with other AI models.
