Acer Ventures into Wearable Technology with Innovative Devices

17 May 2025

Acer, a company renowned for its computing technology, is entering the wearable market with the introduction of the FreeSense Ring and AI TransBuds, as reported by Android Authority. Both devices utilize artificial intelligence to enhance their functionalities.

The FreeSense Ring is a lightweight titanium ring equipped with biometric sensors that monitor heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen levels, and sleep quality. With AI data analysis via a mobile app, users receive personalized health and fitness recommendations. Notably, all features are available without a subscription fee.

The AI TransBuds are wireless earbuds that provide real-time two-way voice translation. They support 15 languages commonly spoken across Europe, Asia, North and South America, and include features for subtitles and transcription to preserve conversations. To function properly, the earbuds require a Bluetooth connection to a smartphone via a special receiver.

Both devices are set to be showcased at Computex 2025, with their market release anticipated later this year. Acer has yet to reveal details regarding pricing and availability.
