Conference on Inclusive Tourism in Odessa
On December 5, 2024, Odessa will host a conference titled «Odessa Accessible to All».
The primary goal of the conference is to unite the efforts of local authorities and businesses to
develop a barrier-free environment in the tourism and hospitality sector.
This is a pressing issue identified by the National Tourism Organization of Ukraine as a key focus for 2024. Despite the challenges posed by wartime conditions, Odessa continues to welcome both domestic and international tourists, making it crucial to address infrastructure accessibility and inclusiveness in tourism.
A special guest at the forum will be Oleksandr Budko (call sign Teren), a Ukrainian military veteran and public figure. He lost both limbs during the Slobozhansk counteroffensive in 2022 but continues to actively advocate for inclusion and veteran support. Oleksandr is a medalist in the «Invictus Games - 2023» in swimming and the author of the autobiographical novel «The Story of a Stubborn Man».
We invite representatives from hotels, restaurants, museums, theaters, healthcare facilities, and tour guides, as well as anyone interested in fostering an inclusive environment, to participate in the conference.
