Odessa Collections Conference

On December 23, 2024, the «#ARTODESSA» gallery at the Summer Theater of the City Garden hosted a significant conference titled «Odessa Collections».

The event brought together numerous collectors, cultural experts, and local historians from Odessa, who shared their insights and ideas.

The main goal of the conference was to revive the active community of collectors in Odessa, which will help preserve our historical and cultural heritage.

Participants discussed important issues related to the preservation of private collections, their exhibition, musealization, and cataloging. The need for scientific research in this area was also emphasized during the conference.

Among the speakers were: Ivan Liptuga, Felix Kohricht, Semen Kantor, Anna Golubovska, Taras Maksymiuk, Alexander Friedman, Sergey Sedykh, Dmitry Khamula, Denis Mitskevich, Alexander Surilov, Yulia Hurynenko, and Ekaterina Pimenova.

Following the conference, a publication on collecting titled «The Universe Named Odessa» is being prepared.

The conference was organized by the Department of Culture, International Cooperation, and European Integration of the Odessa City Council.
